1st is an iPad publication that celebrates artists, writers, poets and photographers who are first generation Americans, meaning that their parents come from another country or they themselves do to.

As a 1st generation American myself, I've realized that I was not raised like other Americans. My cultural background has influenced my outlook of the world and has also influenced my work in design. With that being said, I knew that other 1st generation creatives had a similar experience too. My goal is to gather these stories and highlight their upbringing and how it influenced the way they make their work.
